Ethan

Ethan: "Happy Mother's Day, I love you."
Me: "I love you very much sweetie. I am glad that I am your mom!"
Ethan: "Me too! I just wanted to tell you, that without you, I wouldn't be alive."

Ethan is 6 years old and I love him more than anything or anyone. Pretty amazing what being a mom does to your life.

clearly they have shaped me
but it is so hard to be near mother
it is like a mirror that shows me all the things
i could, but never want, to be
i am thankful for the reminder
but wish it did not take days for her influence to wash away
